Terms and Conditions
Prior to any agreed activities we will conduct an initial visit so that we can meet your dog, discuss any specific requirements. This will allow us to tailor activities to the individual and ensure that both parties are happy with all arrangements.
All terms and conditions will be deemed accepted and agreed by the owner on signing of the booking form.

WALKING
Dogs must be sociable if they are to join group walks (max 4-7) but if an issue is declared prior to an initial visit we will be happy to discuss this with you and potentially arrange 1-2-1 walks for your dog. We reserve the right to cancel the contract at any time and with immediate effect if the dog is not responding well or giving cause for concern. Any initial payments will be refunded.

Please understand it may not always be Jill walking your dog/dogs, there are 4 other walkers in place, they are all very experienced, trained and CRB checked. They are always introduced to the dog through Jill and will go on a few walks with her and the dog, so that the dog is familiar with all the walkers

All dogs will be walked on lead unless the owner has agreed to allow off lead activities and a disclaimer on the booking form has been signed. If off lead walking is agreed we will walk your dog on a lead or long line until we are satisfied that recall is established.
Dogs will be walked in all weather conditions but we reserve the right to apply personal judgement if a walk needs to be cut short due to adverse weather conditions that could compromise the safety of me or your dog i.e. thunderstorms or excessive temperatures.

We will make every effort to arrive at the time given, depending on road conditions and unforeseen circumstances, please allow up to 30 minutes after your booked time slot for the walker to attend.
In adverse weather conditions (ie snow & Ice), we will call to advise you of any delay or cancellation.
Please note that your time starts from when the walker arrives at your property.
Dogs are walked in small controlled social groups up to a maximum of seven.

On collection & drop off of your dog, please understand and appreciated that we cannot stand and talk for any length of time and will limit pick up times to 2 minutes. This is due to other dogs in van. If we are caught up talking, the dogs are left unsupervised and this could lead to a number of issues including, but not limited to:
· A dog becoming tangled
· A dog becoming stressed
· A fight breaking out
· Dogs in the van too long and affected by Hot/Cold Weather
This is a strict term, so please do not be offended if we cut you off/have to walk away; we are definitely not being rude just putting the dogs first! We are sure you can appreciate the above and also take comfort to know your own dog is not left for any longer than necessary during any other drop offs/pick ups.
If there is anything you would like to discuss with us in regards to your dog, please let us know and we can arrange either a telephone or in-person appointment.
Dogs must also have a suitable collar or harness. Please advise if any specific training aids are used i.e. Halti, Gencon, Figure of 8 Lead, Dog Bridle, Canny Collar, muzzle etc. These must be in good working order and well fitting.
Unfortunately, we cannot walk or board female dogs in season. If your dog is not neutered/spayed we cannot be held responsible if your dog impregnates or is impregnated by other dogs.

OPENING TIMES
Monday – Friday
7am – 5pm
The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be cared for, i.e. food, leads, collars, medication etc.
If your dog is on a special diet, this food must be prepared and ready. If meals come unprepared there is a chargeable service of £10 (which covers time and overheads). However there is a slight risk that we wouldn't have the time and the dog would be unfed, which we would not want to happen.
Any damages caused by your dog to any property or possessions other than reasonable wear and tear will be paid for directly on your return.

VACCINATIONS & HEALTH
Dogs must have up to date vaccinations and it is recommended that dogs are vaccinated against kennel cough and have regular worming and flea treatment. Any health issues or allergies will need to be disclosed on the initial visit.

INSURANCE
Waggy Tail Walks has Insurance with Pet Business Insurance which covers walking & pet sitting whilst in my care; however, WaggyTailWalks cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, illness or death of the dog. It is recommended that owners will have their own full insurance cover. We reserve the right to refuse a booking for any uninsured dog.
Should any legal or other claim be made against your dog or Waggy Tail Walks with regard to your dog whilst in the care of WaggyTailWalks, all costs will be covered by the owner.

KEYS & PAPERWORK
House keys will be securely stored and attached to a novelty key ring which we can distinguish but will not relate to anything on the booking paperwork. Paperwork relating to your dog is kept separate and secure away from keys. No personal details will be forwarded or passed on to any third party. If you prefer we can collect keys from a neighbour or a safe location.

VETERINARY CARE & FEES
The owner is responsible for any veterinary bills incurred and details of your vet must be supplied on the initial visit. In an emergency, we will make every attempt to contact the owner and utilise the services of your own vet but reserve the right to make decisions without verbal consent to ensure the immediate welfare of your dog. This may include taking the dog to the nearest veterinary practice and not necessarily your own veterinarian. Owners will be responsible for payment of any veterinary fees.

EMERGENCY DOG TRANSPORTATION
Owners are not insured when in our vehicles and you will therefore be traveling at your own risk if you wish to accompany your dog.

PAYMENT
An initial payment of 50% is required at the initial visit for any Overnight bookings. For walking payment can be paid by mobile banking, paypal, cash weekly or cash monthly.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be notified at least 48 hours prior to the agreed booking otherwise initial payments for each single walk will be non-refundable. Cancellation on the day is charged in full but will be at our discretion depending on circumstances. Walks are fully chargeable if we arrive and cannot gain entry through no fault of my own. We reserve the right to cancel at short notice and if such an eventuality should occur a full refund will be given.
OUR COMMITMENT
We agree to adhere to any specific instructions given by the owner.
We will take the utmost care of your dog, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times whilst in our care.
We will do everything within our power to protect your dog from any danger and will treat your dog with respect and kindness, ensuring that they have the very best experience.
